"IN MEMORY OF RADIO" ANALYSIS
In the poem "In Memory of Radio" it is clear that the poet, Amiri Baraka, dislikes radio entertainment and wants his audience to see it as well. He wants the reader to understand that radio is evil because of its strong influence. Sadly, he believes that no would understand why we would hate the radio due to the large popularity attached to it. So, once again Baraka and other poets from the Beats movement are left going against popular culture and society not supporting them on their opinions. In saying, this poem is the essence of the Beats Movement.
