Literally Devices in "I'm so frightfully unhappy"
Simile - The poet, Jose Marti, practice the use of simile in line 5-8 of his poem. He compares a helmet to a beautiful woman's headdress that is protecting her face. The poet also compares the reflection of the woman's black hair to the reflection of Damascus steel sword. Marti makes this comparison to get the reader to see that this is an awful woman that attack you if you’re not careful. However, see very beautiful, and a lot of people would fall right into her trap.
