Literally devices "destiny"
Imagery – In the poem “Destiny”, Madhubuti displays imagery in the line, “cut beggars, outlaw pimps, and whores.” From this line you could visualize beggars, pimps, and whores no longer being on the street and actually doing something productive. Thus, Madhubuti is really trying to inspire the African American race to be better as a race, but in order to do that they have to cut out some things to make a better picture.
